- Identity a number of highly visible public surfaces.
- Install whiteboards, or use whiteboard paint (with appropriate tools and safety measures—this paint is volatile and can be irritating).
- Encourage patrons to use them, furnishing markers in convenient places.
- There will be concern that use of whiteboards will be messy, and that patrons will write inappropriate messages. But chances are good that communities will police these surfaces appropriately. See what emerges, and document it!
